FORAGE + FEAST PACKAGE INCLUDES:

SIX HOUR GUIDED FORAGING

The package includes six hours of guided foraging. Depending on the season and tides, you can find an amazing array of gourmet wild foods sought after by epicures all over the planet. You will learn how to identify and differentiate choice edibles from non-edibles. Learn about the history and reproduction, ideal growing conditions and experience gathering/hunting for your own food in a super natural environment. There is so much to see and learn, we have hundreds of types of mushrooms, seaweeds, tidal plants, berries as well as many types of shellfish in the area.

FORAGER’S FEAST

The foraging is followed up with a feast prepared by Paul Moran. The Feast focuses on the days foraged treasures, other wild foods from the surrounding area and organic produce. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Light snacks during the adventure are provided such as fresh fruit and cheese. We operate two off-road vehicles which each have room for four people. Therefore we can take groups of up to 8 people. As we do work with nature, seasons, tides and weather no day is ever the same, however one thing that remains consistent is having an amazing experience.

FOUNDED BY
CHEF PAUL MORAN

Wild Origins was founded by chef, forager, freediver, and entrepreneur Paul Moran. He learned to pick morel mushrooms in the foothills of the Okanagan Valley at the age of 12. Since then, Moran has trailblazed paths in both foraging and culinary circles. Working in some of the world’s most celebrated restaurants—both in Canada and abroad.

Moran has enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside foragers who supply the finest establishments. When he was named Top Chef Canada in 2019, Moran solidified his place as a culinary leader in the country.

The idea that learning never ends has powered Paul Moran’s motivation to continue to share both wild food and the knowledge on how to incorporate it into a healthy, joyous lifestyle. Most importantly, Moran seeks to bridge the gap between wild food and the everyday cook. With Wild Origins, that divide becomes smaller with every forage.
